- The Manager, Cost Optimization Performance Analysis is responsible for leading the analysis of performance in cost reduction idea generation and progression in 7-8 global plants.
- The manager is responsible for streamlining cost-saving ideas, facilitating to exchange cost savings ideas between global plants and regions, and consolidating data to demonstrate the impact of cost-savings initiatives by vehicle model line.
- The manager is responsible for consolidating cost savings data from global plants and generate CO pipeline status reports to Global COCM forum and prepare executive summary reports for SVP, highlighting key activities, savings impact and required support.
- The department's key mission is to establish CO governance and organization structure between regions and plants through global integration and lead the Global CO operation to achieve the targets established through collaboration with Global Profit Optimization (GPO) and Global Product Director office (GPDO).
- Oversee the collection and analysis of data related to cost reduction ideas generated from the 7-8 global plants and conduct in-depth assessments to evaluate the effectiveness and progress of cost reduction initiatives at each plant, identifying areas of success and opportunities for improvement.
- Collect, compile, and analyze cost-saving ideas from various models and plants and evaluate the performance of each plant and vehicle model line.
- Facilitate the exchange of cost-saving ideas among global plants to implement and optimize cost optimization initiatives to maximize overall performance.
- Generate status reports detailing the progressions of ideas and cost saving impact by category, model, and plant and provide regular updates and insights to top management regarding CO activities and potential opportunities for further optimization.
- Provide strategic guidance and support to plant-level stakeholders to drive the implementation of cost reduction initiatives and ensure alignment with GCO objectives.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including operations, finance, procurement, and R&D to validate key information of cost-saving ideas and ensure data accuracy is maintained.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness and impact of cost optimization efforts.
- Use advanced knowledge to take the lead in developing and maintaining a centralized database or platform for efficient storage and management of idea information.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration with related divisions in global plants.
- Engage with stakeholders at various levels of the organization.
- Direct meetings with cross-functional team in global regions and plants.
- Represent the Global Cost Optimization as one of key analytic team members.
- Six or more years of progressively responsible supply chain experience or equivalent combination of education and experience preferably in the automotive industry.
- Vehicle Cost expert or reengineering experience highly recommended.
- Working experience in one or more areas of the vehicle parts sourcing, required.
- The ideal candidate is skilled at and enjoys conflict management.
- Strong written and oral communication is a must.
- Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical/problem solving ability.
- Strong data management and statistical analysis/reporting.
- Experience utilizing Computer Aided Design tools (capability in CATIA V5 ideal, but not required)
- Knowledge of design concept, manufacturing, and assembly of core components, a huge plus.
