The Respiratory Therapist (Reg) performs both therapeutic and diagnostic respiratory care services necessary to improve and/or maintain an adequate oxygenation/acid-base balance.Responsibilities
- Provides respiratory care to patients for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes
- Develops, implements, and/or adjusts orders based on patient assessment and patient response to therapy
- Communicates patient/family health care needs to the appropriate health care provider
- Provides accurate and timely documentation in patient care records per policy and standard procedures
