- POSITION SUMMARY:
Every RN/LPN at Tabitha plays a crucial role in enriching the lives of our seniors by providing essential medical treatments and personal care services. They work under physician directives, supporting medical care plans and meeting care objectives, always within the designated scope of practice.
They focus on improving the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being of seniors through compassionate and professional interactions. Additionally, they adhere to Tabitha's LIVE2Care Culture and uphold the organization's Core Values, ensuring dignity, respect, and independence for all seniors.
Collaboration with family members, colleagues, and other stakeholders is key to achieving Tabitha's goals for the well-being and security of seniors.
- Follow and execute physician's orders in line with Tabitha's guidelines.
- Administer medications, treatments, and nursing services as prescribed.
- Monitor seniors' conditions and report changes promptly.
- Record vital signs accurately and observe for adverse reactions.
- Ensure proper skin care to prevent pressure ulcers.
- Complete necessary procedures and maintain accurate records.
- Provide supervision and education on medication self-administration.
- Participate in teaching seniors and caregivers necessary skills.

- COMMUNICATION:
The ability to effectively communicate in English, including medical terminology, is essential. Clear communication with seniors, clients, and colleagues is vital for success in this role.
Interpreting non-verbal cues and handling emergencies calmly and effectively are key communication skills needed.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
This role requires physical stamina and agility to perform duties throughout the shift, including lifting, bending, and assisting seniors with mobility limitations. The ability to remain composed in emotionally charged situations is crucial.
AGE REQUIREMENT:
Minimum age of 18.
EDUCATION:
Completion of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse program is required. High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
Preferred 6 months of experience as an RN or LPN.
CREDENTIALS:
Active RN or LPN License in good standing is mandatory. CPR certification is required and must be maintained. Compliance with Tabitha's vaccination policies is imperative.
