    Job Description


    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    Represent "Product Quality Team" in various development and sustaining meetings.

    Work with Technical Program Managers, Development Engineering, and ODM teams to ensure new product introduction and qualifications are successful, from a quality and reliability standpoint.

    Work with internal teams to ensure that the product characterization criterion are met. Review the test plans and provide feedback related to product performance / compliance and more.


    Examples:
    Performance with different Desktop / Mobile Applications. Reviewing Internal / External beta testing results, making sure that thru-put and other requirements are met.

    Be a key participant in weekly meetings such as development / phase gate exit review / sustaining & compatibility meetings.

    Take Quality position.

    Keep log of open items and make sure to close the critical and blocker items, before the products are released.

    Support Sustaining Product Quality & Reliability in root cause determination of manufacturing, SW Apps., field issues & close it. Review ECO/ECN & PCN as needed.
    Collaborate with business units and Engineering to understand the roadmap for WDC consumer and prosumer product lines.
    Work with Manufacturing QA, SQE, sustaining and the factories to ensure that changes are communicated both ways.
    Qualifications


    REQUIRED
    BS in Computer science or Electrical Engineering.
    3+ years of relevant experience in consumer or prosumer electronic products.

    SKILLS
    Experience with Storage Products will be a plus.

    Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a track record of successfully enabling process improvements and the attainment of established goals.

    Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
