The essential responsibilities of the Computer Software Specialist 3 will include providing technical guidance and assistance for software systems, system development and operations and must always ensure current knowledge of changes in the Information Technology areas.

Will serve as MLGW's representative while working with vendors on hardware/software purchases/implementations/problem solutions and help maintain MLGW computer standards.


Qualification Requirements:
To perform the Computer Software Specialist 3 role, you must:

• Have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems
• Have a Bachelor's degree in Business with a concentration in Information Systems
• Have a Bachelor's degree in Math with a concentration in Computer Science
• Have a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 12 hours college accredited Information Technology of Information Systems courses
• Have 6 years of experience in database, computer hardware/software, mainframe, networking, programming or system analysis skills
• Possess a valid driver's license from state of residence
• Have at least three (3) year of demonstrated Software QA Specialist experience.

Demonstrated knowledge and skills in duties and responsibilities involved performing the following:

• Conduct necessary testing of existing and new applications to ensure a stable, secure system free of defects
• Identify, analyze, and document problems with application functionality, UI design, or content
• Develop testing programs to address areas such as database impact, regression testing, negative testing, error/bug retests, or usability
• Design test plans, scenarios, scripts, or procedures
• Ensure traceability between tests and system requirements
• Documenting and certifying system tests comprehensively and accurately to ensure replicability and compliance with standards
• Able to utilize and integrate using tools such as GIT and Jenkins

Physical Working Conditions:
Works inside in an office environment. Subject to sitting for long periods of time utilizing a computer. Occasional lifting, bending, stooping/crouching to transport equipment.


If there are no qualified bidders for Computer Software Specialist 3, bidders will be considered for Computer Software Specialist 2. If there are no qualified bidders for Computer Software Specialist 2, bidders will be considered for Computer Software Specialist 1.
