    Contract to potential hire opportunity for a Senior Business Analyst with extensive experience in Life Insurance and Annuities industry. This role can be fully remote (based in the US) or hybrid option if local to Minneaoplis, MN area.
    Client requirements:
    -Must be W2 hourly (no C2C)
    -Work authorization: US Citizen or GC holder


    What you'll do: As a senior business centric Business Analyst, you will join a multi-layer large program supportin different lanes. This is an Agile delivery team and there is a dedicated Scrum Master on the team. This role is the liaison between key Business Stakeholders and IT in the analysis and delivery of system changes to support Fixed or Variable Annuities on the platform. Responsible for elicitation, assessment and documentation of project scope, business risks, business and technical requirements and the overall testing strategy with test cases. Facilitates requirements gathering sessions with key stakeholders and is responsible for business requirement documentation and traceability to technical requirements. Develops user acceptance and validation test plans. Leads execution of user acceptance testing and ensures business readiness. Creates user stories and acceptance criteria. Delivers demos of completed features and user stories.

    • You will be working with the business, setting scope, getting requirements, documenting criteria. You'll also be partnering with external vendor who configures the platform.
    • Key skills: Organized, experienced support junior level team members, 8+ year business centric BA experience, Life Insurance/Annuities and/or ALIP experience.
    • Team is in the process of building out and delivering on a backlog comprised of features for the Inforce Annuity operations teams. The work spans across multiple areas and requires coordination across delivery teams (product configuration, integrations, digital for example). Inforce is defined as everything occurring post-issue on an annuity contract; policy administrations, benefit payout, death claim, accounting, tax forms and feeds, and customer communications.
    • Examples of work include:Correspondence and other customer communication output; changes to the system User Interface (business or production configuration requires partnership and coordination with other delivery teams and external vendor); production support triage and fixes for defects and production incidents; business-related enhancements - could require product or business configuration or changes to base code; and finance and accounting related configuration and validations
    • Team Methodology: Agile / Scrum
    EXPERIENCE
    • 8+ years Business Analyst experience
    • Strong analytical and project management skills
    • In-depth knowledge of the Life Insurance and Annuitities industry; ALIP experience preferred
    • Self-starter who can work independently. Excellent written, verbal, communication and presentation skills
    • Ability to work across delivery team, to coordinate delivery and implementation
    • Experience with external vendors
    • Experience coaching other analysts
