Job Description:
The IT Support Technician is a key piece for a fast-growing company utilizing the newest technology. The IT Support Technician is responsible for supporting all areas of hardware and software. Creates networks and supports existing ones.
The IT Support Technician is also responsible for solving problems with technology for a wide range of users and devices.
Essential Duties:
Assists employees and customers with hardware and software challenges over the phone, in person, and/or remotely.
Maintains IT related equipment by either repairing or replacing it as necessary.
Creates, maintains and/or uses existing inventory lists for all IT related hardware/software licensing.
Troubleshoots Internet /network connectivity issues, from the user hardware all the way to the ISP for IP phone systems, VPNs , cameras, and other related network hardware.
Creates new accounts for users and customers in various databases and online cloud accounts, and help set them up on a variety of devices.
Performs all other job duties as assigned.
Education:
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred:
Some college/associates degree.
Experience:
Required:
1-2 years of relevant experience.
Experience with various operating systems and productivity software, including MS Windows and MS Office Software.
Experience troubleshooting and repairing hardware - computers, laptops, etc.
Preferred:
Honorably discharged service veterans.
Certifications, Licenses & Registrations:
Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Ability to work with all types of employees and customers over the phone/in person in a courteous and professional manner.
Able to work independently and ensure tasks are completed with little supervision.
Able to handle frequent interruptions and handle conflict in an effective manner.
Ability and willingness to learn new processes and business functions to facilitate the mission
Possess the ability to be a team player.
Adaptability and ability to work in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
Possess a positive and energetic self-starter attitude, with excellent drive, ambition and work ethic.
Strong prioritization , organization, and project management skills.
Ability to communicate ideas effectively and maintain deadlines.
