    The Reimbursement team oversees revenue cycle operations and reimbursement strategy for Tempus clinical laboratory testing. The position supports relationships with Tempus' Managed Care, Sales, Finance, Product, Customer Success, Operations, and Business Intelligence (BI), as well as our third-party billing vendor.

    Responsibilities

    • Efficiently manage worklists related to patient billing, medical records requests, coordination of benefits (COB), and expired insurance within the billing system.
    • Accurately capture financial assistance decisions in the billing system.
    • Oversee and refine mail procedures to minimize manual tasks.
    • Collaborate with the Supervisor to address aged accounts within the Tempus billing system.
    • Analyze and document trends or patterns in daily workflows to enhance process efficiency and ensure clean claims submissions.
    • Handle ad hoc requests and contribute to special projects as required.

    • Exceptional organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
    • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and with minimal oversight.
    • Analytical and detail-oriented, with a passion for solving complex problems.
    • Capable of quickly learning new skills and adapting to new processes.
    • Able to work independently and within a team environment.

    Required Education & Experience

    • Associate/Bachelor Degree or 2+ years of healthcare revenue cycle/billing operations
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Specifically Excel)

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Familiarity with laboratory billing
    • Experience with Google Suite
