    Description

    Essential Functions -

    • Provides technical guidance for all issues related to network/system infrastructure
    • Manages the procurement, testing, installation, and support of network equipment and systems, including LAN, DMZ, WAN systems, Network devices and systems such as routers, switches, Access Points, WLAN Controllers.
    • In-depth understanding and ability to configure various tunable system resource/parameters (Advanced network configuration, Shared memory, SMTP, SNMP, DNS, NTP, FTP, YP, TCP/IP, NFS)
    • Experience working with Azure cloud infrastructure, products, and services such as Azure Web Apps, WAF, Resource Manager, Application Gateway, Azure Virtual WAN, VNets, Firewall, NSGs, Service Endpoints, Private Links, IaaS, PaaS, etc.
    • Experience using the Azure CLI, PowerShell, and other scripting languages and tools to manage/implement Azure resources
    • Experience with Microsoft 365 ecosystem including: Intune, Azure AD, MFA, PowerShell, Graph API, Application Protection Policies, Conditional Access, Azure AD Provisioning, Azure Security Center, Azure AD Connect, Azure Site Recovery and SSO technologies.
    • Strong monitoring & alerting skills with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics & App Insights
    • Advanced knowledge of servers/computers hardware and software, DNS and networking fundamentals including diagnostics with Windows tools
    • Implement and maintain server infrastructure security and authentication and authorization and single-sign-on systems.
    • Respond to audits and support periodic penetration tests.
    • Knowledge of scripting languages such as Powershell and python
    • Manage a Microsoft domain environment; including AD, DNS, DHCP, GPO's, Windows servers
    • Perform enterprise-wide server and desktop systems patching for OS and standard applications
    • Defines and implementing disaster recovery plans
    • Takes the lead on cloud recommendations and security readiness
    • Work with NJII technical team and architect to implement, manage and secure cloud information systems
    • Defines improvements to increase system security/integrity, reliability and performance based on health check results
    • Experience with regulatory compliance such as HIPAA, CIS, NIST a plus

    Additional Functions -

    • Develops new alerts and monitoring techniques based on engineering requirements
    • Recommends and develops solutions for improvement of help desk monitoring and systems management procedures
    • Makes recommendations to improve security and participates in investigations as needed
    • Coordinates the design, implementation, and execution of backup and disaster recovery plan for infrastructure solutions
    • Develops documentation for new infrastructure solutions
    • Evaluates future technologies and makes recommendations for software and hardware upgrades
    • Provides technical guidance, coaching and mentoring to team members
    • Actively monitors and publishes the availability plan discussing the ability of the IT infrastructure to meet the availability requirements of the business
    • Works with vendors and architects to understand their technology roadmaps
    • Works across teams to ensure network and telecom system upgrades and service pack deployments are implemented with minimal impact to production operation
    • Recommends implementation of updated network/telecom systems to deliver cost benefits without reducing production performance and availability Final candidates will be subject to a background screening.     Requirements

    Prerequisite Qualifications -

    1. Education/Degree/Certifications Required -
    • Bachelor's Degree, Computer Science Information Systems
    • CCNA - Certification
    • Microsoft Azure Certifications PLUS
    • Sophos Certifications PLUS
    1. Years of Experience Required -
    • Minimum 4 years of HANDS-ON Experience managing Firewalls, Windows, Linux, Server environments.
    • Strong experience with Windows/Microsoft environments
    • Understanding of cloud-based Office 365
    • Understanding of AD, Exchange, SCCM
    • Experience supporting AV, Hardware and Networking devices
    • Microsoft Cloud Advanced Experience (Azure, Defender, Sentinel, Endpoint Manager) required.
    • Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery failover design and implementation experience required.
    • In -depth technical knowledge Microsoft Server, Advanced Networking required
