    Description
    BAE Systems is seeking a Labor Estimator II - Pipefitter to support the San Diego, CA Ship Repair shipyard.

    In this role, the Labor Estimator II - Pipefitter:

    Develops detailed estimates for pipefitter work in support of repairs and installations on U.Navy, MSC, USCG and all types of commercial vessels;
    Performs proposal/production estimating duties as described by BAE Systems;
    Works with contract administrators, material estimators, subcontract administrators, and advanced planning personnel in the development of estimates;
    Works cross functionally with trades and operations teams to ensure bid accuracy;
    Typically requires a High School Diploma, GED, or the equivalent, and a minimum of 5 years experience in repairs of Navy Vessels and/or marine repair contracts administration;
    Able to work with contract administrators, material estimators, subcontract administrators, and advanced planning personnel in the development of estimates;
    Computer skills to include Intermediate/Advanced level proficiency in MS Word and Excel;
    Ability to run, read, and interpret reports for labor, material and subcontractor costs.

    Naval experience as a Hull Technician (HT) or Auxiliaries (A-Gang): Full-

    Time Salary Range:
    $ $109010

    This range is based on our market pay structures.

    However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to:

    business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
