    POSITION PROFILEThe Project Team Leader will be responsible for leading cross-functional teams in the development of new product projects, from ideation thru launch.
    • Set short and long term milestones with his/her team which are related to the project/product line goal
    • Actively solicit advice/counsel/assistance from other PD Project Team Leaders
    • Simultaneously manage multiple development projects in varying stages of progress
    • Delegate authority and responsibility within the team, and other stakeholder organizations, including suppliers and Operations at all Knoll manufacturing locations that are impacted by the development project
    • Communicate the actions required from external contributors that are critical to the teams success and obtain their commitment to keeping same
    • Encourage innovation in keeping commitments, schedules, etc.
    • Encourage team members to suggest alternative action plans and/or express objection based upon their perspective/role on the product team
    • Is receptive to, and acts upon, ideas, suggestions, and alternative paths from fellow team members, external contributors, Product Marketing, and Product Development Management
    • Keep the team clearly focused upon the factors/criteria that are critical to success of the project
    • Maintain an effective leadership style, using a variety of motivational techniques based upon the circumstances or individual
    • Remain current to development activity progress and assist team members and external contributors in keeping, and exceeding, project schedules, targets (financial, quality, manufacturing, etc)
    • Maintain an open flow of communication to team members, external contributors, Product Marketing and Product Development management
    • Facilitate the interaction between/among Design, Product Marketing, Product Development
    • When communicating problems or concerns to Design, Product Marketing and Product Development Management, always recommend potential solutions to the problem
    • Support Purchasing, Quality, Operations, etc in the evaluation, selection and development of suppliers
    • Support Knoll Operations in the resolution of manufacturing opportunities relating to the products design
    • Performs other duties as necessary in support of business objectivesRequired Skills
    • Bachelor degree from an accredited college or universityRequired Experience 2 years successful experience in cross-functional team settings
    • Working level knowledge of business information systems, including material requirements planning (MRP)
    • Basic understanding of engineering change processes
    • Basic understanding of materials, manufacturing, finish and assembly techniques
    • Basic understanding of Industrial Design, and new product development via external design resources
    • Basic understanding of product Quality assessment methods and processes
