    Summary

    Responsible for operating within the ERP system to assess incoming demand, available material and resources to fulfill requirements of the customer. Create production plan for the Texas plant assessing capacity, lead times and inventory levels. Work closely with the sales, production and purchasing team to deliver the production requirements in the most efficient and productive manner possible.

    Primary responsibilities

    • Work within QAD ERP system and planning macros to develop the production plan.
    • Coordinate with sales, purchasing, mixing department and extrusion department to develop and execute the daily production plan.
    • Maintain work order transactions, material flow inputs, splits and accurate closure of the orders.
    • Create work order packets, documentation and labels for production teams. Support forecasting, planning capacity and utilization of the production lines to execute the production plan in the most efficient manner.
    • Coordinate between departments and shifts to ensure clear and timely communications with regards to the production plan.
    • Monitor inventory locations in the appropriate sites to ensure accurate and timely materials movements are being made within the ERP system.
    • Work with sales to determine stock build requirements we have within key customer supply agreements and plan production resources to achieve and maintain these safety stocks.

    Requirements

    • ERP system experience within QAD preferred but not essential. ERP system experience within planning or purchasing function preferred.
    • Prior experience in production planning role with 2 or more years' experience. Must be experienced with Microsoft Excel and other office software applications, macros, pivot tables.
    • Analytical thinker with good interpersonal skills.
    • Strong organizational skills.
    • Associates or bachelor's degree preferred
