BAE Systems is seeking an entry level Electrical Engineering I. In this position, you will be supporting the Combat Mission Systems (CMS) Business at our York, PA facility. This is a hybrid position.

As an Electrical Engineer I, you will:

+ Research, plan, design, develop, modify, and evaluate electronic and electrical systems

+ Support key production activities including on the production line and assistance to suppliers

+ Evaluate vendor capabilities, technologies, services and ability to deliver required products or services

+ Recommend design approaches for new or improved products and processes

+ Provide engineering consultation to other technical groups

+ Conduct and support subsystem and system integration and verification activities, manufacturing and test planning, and failure analysis

+ Ensure technical outcomes are consistent with established engineering principles and practices and that customer and company technical, system, performance, and quality requirements are met

+ Perform basic engineering design, development, analysis, experimentation, test and/or product assurance tasks of limited complexity for assigned portions of a project

+ Ensure tasks meet cost, quality, schedule, and performance requirements

+ Apply basic engineering design and/or analytical theory, principles, techniques, and practices to a limited portion of a technical project

+ Develop and write technical documentation, make revisions to existing documentation, and provide input to technical papers or presentations

+ Perform basic technical analysis, testing, calculations, and evaluation of results using specialized equipment and/or by computer programs

+ Analyze and interpret design specifications, drawings, documentation, models, and/or test results to ensure technical designs comply with applicable engineering standards, military specifications and product requirements

+ Develop and maintain effective relationships with customers to solve technical problems and implement solutions of limited complexity

+ Acquire and maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant engineering discipline(s), industry practices, trends, and applications

+ Maintain a safe work environment and ensures compliance with safety policies and rules

+ Share responsibility of self-development with immediate supervisor

**Required Education, Experience, & Skills**

+ Bachelor s in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university

+ Experience with Microsoft Office suite, 3D CAD Programs, electrical simulation/modeling tools

+ Experience using electrical lab test equipment (oscilloscopes, power analyzers, CAN, DAC/ADC converters) for test and verification

+ Entry level knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of a relevant technical field of specialization

+ Ability to solve basic technical design and development problems.

+ Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with customers to solve technical problems

+ Good written communication skills this position requires ability to create clear technical documentation of analyses, methods, results, conclusions, and recommendations. Writing examples are helpful and may be requested

+ Good people skills this position requires the ability to regularly collaborate with personnel from design engineering, production, field service, management, and the customer

+ Must have the ability to move about, on, or inside a large military vehicle including in some cramped spaces

**Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills**

+ Previous/current membership or leadership roles in professional groups or extracurricular activities

+ Previous Internships and Co-Op assignments applicable to Electrical Engineering

+ Military ground vehicle wiring harness and cabling design experience

+ Experience working with electrical/electronic systems of military ground vehicles

+ Working knowledge of military electrical connectors and electrical cabling specifications

+ Knowledge of SAEJ1939 CANBus, Mil-Std 1553, 10/100 and Gigabit Ethernet Protocols

**Pay Information**

Full-Time Salary Range: $ $95500

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
