- Greet office visitors and clients;
- Assist attorneys and social workers with office administrative tasks;
- Create, organize, and close clients' case files;
- Process mail and organize the office;
- Draft client correspondence and make phone calls to clients to support their legal cases;
- File in-person at immigration court and state court when needed.
- Ability to volunteer at least 10 hours each week during business hours: 9am-5pm, Monday - Friday;
- Spanish language competency helpful but not required;
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment with people from diverse cultural backgrounds

The Tahirih Justice Center is a national, nonprofit organization that serves women, girls, and other immigrant survivors fleeing gender-based violence. Our interdisciplinary, trauma-informed model of service combines free legal and social services with bridge-building policy advocacy and research-based training and education. Our programs efficiently and effectively leverage donated professional services from a vast network of attorneys, medical professionals, and other experts to serve as many immigrant survivors as possible. By amplifying the experiences of survivors in communities, courts, and Congress, Tahirih's mission is to create a world in which all people share equal rights and live-in safety and with dignity. Tahirih's Baltimore office seeks a volunteer for at least a 3-month term to provide critical client and administrative program support for our Baltimore office. The successful volunteer will volunteer 10 hours a week and be a detail-oriented self-starter who can effectively multi-task and juggle multiple priorities. This position presents an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to grow in their law office experience and working with clients.
