    JOB DESCRIPTION

    POSITION TITLE: Agua Bartender/Cook JOBCODE: 216263

    REPORTS TO: Beverage Supervisor

    POSITION SUMMARY: Bartender

    Receives beverage orders from guests and prepares drinks as ordered. Bartenders are friendly and courteous to all guests, at all times. They have been trained in alcohol awareness, handling of guest complaints quickly and properly, maintaining control at the bar at all times.

    TASKS:

    1. Receives beverage and food orders directly from the guests at the bar and pool area and prepares each drink or menu item with proper proportions and ingredients.

    2. Observes all rules for order taking and has thorough knowledge of the food and drink menus, cocktails, beers, wines, glassware, pricing and cash/comp procedures.

    3. Operates cash register system, bears responsibility for all cash, cash receipts, comp tickets, and provides guests with proper change as required.

    4. Maintains highest standards of sanitation, personal grooming, and personal conduct.

    5. Observant and aware of guest's needs and wants at all times.

    6. Requires the ability to move from one task to another, as needs materialize in each service area. Requires ability to manage own time efficiently and effectively. Bartenders are able to anticipate needs and take action without being told to do so.

    7. Observes proper alcohol awareness rules when servicing the guests.

    8. Preps and prepares food for guests, as needed.

    POSITION SUMMARY: Cook

    Cooking: Typical tasks, prepares foods according to standardized menus and recipes or verbal instructions given by supervisor or higher-level cook. Cooks gather and combine ingredients required by standardized recipes; washes, slices, chops, measures, mixes, and weighs food products; cooks food by pizza oven, grill and fryer. Prepares and arranges food in an attractive manner; keeps food adequately stocked in prep cooler.

    Tasks: Puts food away in designated storage; cleans pizza oven; wipe's down countertops; keeps work area in sanitary condition at all times; cleans all utensils in buffet dish room and return to bar area.

    EDUCATION OR SKILLS REQUIRED:

    High school graduate or equivalent preferred. Must be 21 or older. Must have basic knowledge of beer, wine and spirits and be familiar with standard drink recipes. Must possess basic math skills and have the ability to handle money.

    The following activities are normally required to perform these functions: stand, walk, bend, reach, read, write, eye to hand coordination, depth perception, effective verbal communication, strong math skills, excellent organizational skills.
