    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY

    • Oversee and manage general accounting functions in an international, multi-entity environment, including, but not limited to invoicing and collections, accounts payable, fixed assets, general ledger, account reconciliations, company credit cards, tax filing support, and financial reporting.
    • Manage and support direct-report accounting staff in the day-to-day performance of duties. This role will initially have one direct report with the opportunity to add additional direct reports over time.
    • Complete, accurate and timely monthly and annual financial statement issuance and financial close.
    • Issuance of accurate invoices and monitoring of A/R with appropriate notification of past due amounts.
    • Responsible for reconciling all accounts (bank, G/L, credit card, and others).
    • Running the A/P process for the company. Ensuring proper coding, approvals, and payment of invoices, per payment terms.
    • Overseeing the company credit card program (Expensify). Ensuring appropriate credit balances, timely submission, and reconciliations.
    • Preparation of monthly financial reports.
    • Continually evaluate accounting processes and systems and implement optimizations.
    • Business owner of the accounting ERP system (Sage Intacct).
    • Administrative oversight of appropriate access to ERP and training of users.
    • Creating new legal entities (US and non-US based) in ERP as necessary.
    • Support with tax filings and annual audit or review.
    • Support insurance renewals (G/L, property, Workers Comp, auto, Cyber, etc.).
    • Perform other work-related duties as assigned.

    QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS

    • Bachelor's or master's degree with emphasis in Accounting, Business, Finance, or a related field.
    • CPA Certification preferred.
    • 5 years or more of Accounting Manager experience. Preferred experience in the pharmaceutical research industry.
    • Experience with ERP software systems. Sage Intacct, Microsoft Dynamics GP or similar systems required.
    • Prior management experience required.
    • Demonstrate ability to proactively prioritize needs and effectively manage resources and time. Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks.
    • Able to make independent judgments which have considerable impacts on the organization. Able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
    • High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation.
    • Able to communicate effectively in writing and verbally across all levels of the organization. Able to effectively present information to management, employees, and customers.
    • Advanced level of Excel and other MS Office Applications.
    The typical base pay range for this role is USD $107,500 - $170,000 per year.

    Individual base pay depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience, skills and other market-based factors.
