Description

With more than 89,000 employees, SGS operates a network of over 2,600 offices and laboratories around the world.The Laboratory Technician (Concrete) is responsible for conducting quality control/assurance testing on specific construction products and materials. This role consists of physical labor, fabrication of samples, testing of samples, and recording of data. This could include mixing and batching of concrete, cement, epoxies, coatings, steel, aggregates, and/or consumer products testing.
Clean and assemble mold or special equipment
Perform testing in accordance with applicable standards
Provide technical advice on testing techniques and solutions
Adhere to internal standards, policies, and procedures.
0 - 3 years' experience in laboratory testing
COMPUTER SKILLS
MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Basic
TRAVEL
Travels up to 10% of the time. Local travel around Atlanta metro-area and in Georgia. Some travel to neighboring states (Southeast US states)
EQUIPMENT
This job operates in an temperature controlled laboratory environment as well as in the field.
The role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and phones in addition to power tools such as drills.
