- Performs full range of chemical, microbiological, immunological, hematologic, and immunohematology laboratory procedures.
- Evaluates test results and follow-up with appropriate action.
- Performs instrument calibrations, maintenance, QC and troubleshooting procedures.
- Completes all internal and external documentation as per policies and procedures.
- Provides administrative and technical consulting on laboratory testing.
- Assists in the training of laboratory personnel, other healthcare professionals and consumers.
- Minimum of an Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or one of the chemical, physical or biological sciences required.
- A Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or one of the chemical, physical or biological sciences is preferred.
- American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP) required.
