    Here's a little about The Talbot Group and the position they are recruiting for:

    The Talbot Group is the manager and developer of Barkley Village, a 250-acre mixed-use urban village in Bellingham, WA.

    The company has developed a dynamic mix of residential, retail, office, and community assets here over the past 30 years, and now owns and manages a majority of the property in the village.

    The Talbot Group is master planning and entitling property throughout the village to allow for significant growth over the next 10-15 years.


    What's in it for you:


    The Talbot Group offers a comprehensive compensation and benefit package including medical, dental, profit sharing, and four weeks of vacation.

    The anticipated annual base salary range for this position is $180k – 250k.


    About the role:


    The CFO will lead the company's financial strategy and operations to facilitate the build-out and fund the operations of Barkley Village.


    What you will be doing:


    Generate financing strategies and forecasts for the development of Barkley Village based on the company's past performance and future revenue, cost, and financing assumptions.

    Obtain debt and equity financing to fund development projects and company growth.
    Monitor and report on the financial performance of Talbot's property assets, Talbot Services (operating company), and other entities (e.g. BOA) with monthly and annual accounting and financial reports.
    Support Asset Management teams with ROI analysis for leasing and capital projects decisions. Develop annual budgets with Marketing, Facilities & Maintenance, Accounting, and Development managers.

    Manage and mitigate risk through contract negotiation and administration, company policies and procedures, interest rate hedges, regulatory compliance, and insurance.

    Manage payroll and employee benefits.
    Manage filing of tax returns for the company and ownership.



    Qualifications:

    What we'd like to see from you:

    Current or past work in a CFO role for a real estate company engaged in development and acquisitions.

    Qualifications:


    CPA
    Master's degree
