    Job Description

    This section describes the primary purpose of the position. Learns the safety, customer service skills, documentation, and operation of Radiology through on-the-job training under the direction of a registered technologist.

    Essential Functions

    Below is a list of the essential functions of the job truly necessary or required to perform the job, and the frequency at which the functions are performed. Next to each function, the approximate percentage of time spent performing the function is included. Total percentage of time equals 100%. Functions are generalized and grouped into categories of 20-25% of time spent. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Other duties as assigned may be required.

    Essential Functions% of Time

    1. Conducts pre-screening of all personnel before entering the scanning room to ensure their safety.40%
    2. Scans and documents patients under the direction of a registered technologist to meet all customer (If applicable) and Alliance requirements.40%
    3. Completes necessary documentation for patient files to ensure all customer, Alliance policy and Joint Commission requirements are met.10%
    4. Other job duties as needed10%

    Certificates, Licenses & Registrations

    Below is the list of required and/or preferred certificates, license and registrations for the job.

    Required:

    • Certified by ARRT, ARMRIT, NMTCB or ARDMS.
    • State issued Radiologic Technologist License, if applicable.
    • CPR certification
    • Valid state driver's license, if applicable.

    Preferred:

    • Note: Required Certificates, Licenses & Registrations are verified at the time of hire for all roles. Ongoing primary source verification is completed for Patient Facing roles only, in compliance with Accrediting body requirements.

    Experience & Skills

    Below is the list of required and/or preferred experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities for the job.

    Required:

    • Successful completion of a Radiology School
    • Continuing education of the structure component to the Radiology exam
    • Ability to work at several locations
    • Strong customer service skills.
    • Organizational and multi-tasking skills.
    • Basic knowledge of computer applications and programs.

    Preferred:

    • Successfully demonstrate proficiency running advanced Radiology studies independently
    • Technical proficiency using diagnostic imaging equipment
    • Possession of venipuncture certification, or ability to secure within 3 months, if required by customer/contract
