    **Golden Gate Evening Kitchen Assistant**

    The Kitchen Assistant works on the Kitchen Team to accomplish the goals and objectives of the Food Service Department. This is primarily a dishwashing and custodial position in the kitchen. Secondary duties related to food preparation and service as assigned. The shift is Monday-Thursday, 11:30 am-8:00 pm, with the potential for additional hours on Friday, as available.

    **Primary Duties and Responsibilities:**

    Wash dishes, pots and pans.

    Maintain cleanliness of dining room cabinets.

    Keep all refrigerators clean with dates and labels on all items.

    Maintain and clean the Kitchen and Equipment.

    Receive and stock deliveries of food and supplies.

    Help to set up the buffet.

    Help cooks in the preparation of meals.

    Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

    **Compensation:**

    $17/hour

    Full benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, retirement plan, and paid vacation, training days, and sick leave.

    Interest in and ability to support the preparation of meals

    Promptness and a positive attitude.

    Ability to follow verbal and written directions.

    Able to work well with other staff.

    Able to work efficiently under pressure and time limits.

    Food service experience preferred.
