    Structures Mechanic Overview

    The Structures Mechanic maintains, repairs, and inspects Structures components to ensure safe operations within FAA guidelines.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Maintain regular inspections on Structures components
    • Develop and maintain records of maintenance, repairs, inspections, and reports
    • Inspect and examine Structures components for defects
    • Consult manuals and specifications for correct operations and replacements
    • Install new parts and perform tasks efficiently
    • Repair sheet metal as needed
    • Resolve mechanical problems based on visual inspections or customer reports.
    • Document all documentation related to inspections, repairs, and reassembly of Structures components

    Requirements:

    • Thorough understanding of Structures parts and systems
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
    • Detail-oriented with mechanical inclination
    • Superior workmanship and ability to interpret technical data
    • Ability to perform consistently under stressful conditions
    • Ability to learn new skills and methods of repairs

    Education and Experience:

    • High school diploma or equivalent required
    • Part 145 Repair Station experience preferred

    Physical Requirements:

    • Must be able to stand, lie, and kneel in awkward positions
    • Must be able to lift objects weighing up to 70 pounds at a time
    • Manual dexterity necessary to operate tools or make adjustments and repairs

    Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year
