    JOB SUMMARY:

    With consultation of the Psychological and Social Sciences Division Director, this adjunct faculty member is responsible for the instruction of graduate courses that support division's graduate programs.

    Major Responsibilities/Activities


    • Adheres to all university academic and employment policies identified in the Employee and Faculty handbooks and academic catalogs
    • Respects the moral and religious beliefs of the university and students; uses discretion when expressing personal beliefs and views
    • Performs other duties as assigned by the Division Director or college Dean

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
    Education


    • Doctoral degree (e.g., PhD or PsyD) in Clinical Mental Health Counseling or School Counseling with licensure preferred
    • Doctoral degree (e.g., PhD or PsyD) in general areas of Psychology preferred
    • Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling or School Counseling with licensure considered
    • Master's Degree in general areas of Psychology considered
    Experience


    • Experience teaching in higher education preferred
    • Experience teaching at the graduate level preferred
    Knowledge and Skills


    • Demonstrates an understanding of educational theory, instructional methods, evaluation techniques, and use of technology typically utilized in higher education in a classroom setting
    • Demonstrates analytical and organizational skills necessary to plan, implement, and evaluate educational activities to assure compliance with established teaching goals and objectives
    • Demonstrates strong interpersonal and communication skills, verbal and written, necessary to interact effectively with all university constituents
