    Summary

    This position provides day-to-day leadership of administrative staff in the Health Center, including managing all administrative functions through their direct reports (Supervisor of Administrative Operations and Supervisor of Patient Services). This position directly oversees Health Center scheduling for all services and programs. This position participates in Health Center process improvement and quality initiatives to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction.

    Essential Functions
    • Recruits, screens, interviews, recommends, and approves non-management candidates for hire; conducts training; assigns tasks and monitors work performance; writes and delivers performance appraisals; recommends salary actions; recommends and administers disciplinary action; recommends and approves termination of employees and engages and retains a high performing, accountable workforce.
    • Directly manages the Supervisor of Administrative Services, Supervisor of Patient Services and Billing team members. Indirect oversight (through Supervisors) of all administrative functions within the health center including Registration, Referrals, Insurance Enrollment, Medical Records, Credentialing, Scheduling, and Administrative Assistant roles.
    • Creates, reviews, and revises policies and procedures in accordance with federal and/or state standards. Provides training and support to administrative team to assure understanding and compliance with expectations.
    • Participates in meetings with internal and external stakeholders to improve communications, assure care quality and billability of services, and identify process improvements.
    • Assists with quality improvement initiatives in coordination with the Quality Management team.
    • Employs decision making skills and has good problem management skills including excellent customer service and communication skills used to interact with various team members and stakeholders.
    • Acts as a management liaison between providers and administrative team members.
    • Oversight of annual reports to state and federal entities related to Health Center payors and revenue collected.
    • Assists with annual budget creation related to service revenue forecasting.
    • On-time completion of assigned training and policies.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.
    Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree, preferred. Associates degree with a minimum of 3 years applicable work experience may be substituted.
    • Certification in billing and coding, preferred.
    • Six years of leadership experience preferred, to include recruitment, training, performance management, counseling and retaining an engaged and accountable workforce.
    • Bilingual (Spanish), preferred.
    • Participate in an annual Tuberculosis screening and/or other screenings when necessary.
