    Description

    We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer with a minimum of one-two years of experience to join our product development team to build and develop our portfolio of products. We research competitive products, conduct tear downs and analysis, test, create, mockup, prototype, build, revise, model, draw, draft plans & specifications, communicate with vendors and manufacture our ideas. Every aspect of a product from idea, design, manufacture, to supporting end consumers is what this role entails. You will become the go-to Product Engineer focusing on our many brands of products, which includes but is not limited to Mirrors, Racks, Windshields, Roofs, Skid plates, Doors and more. Some projects maybe small with limited scope, while others will be quite large efforts to develop entire lines of new products for the distribution market, Teamwork, collaboration, organization, project management and communication are key in this fast-paced environment that is constantly changing.

    We are looking for a talented and highly motivated Mechanical Engineer who will be a key part of our Engineering team.

    Responsibilities

    • All aspects of product development efforts
    • Design, develop and test mechanical and electrical parts for the accessory market.
    • Coordinate with project team leaders and other designers/drafters to maintain project performance and critical project delivery schedules.
    • Develop Assembly drawings, custom mechanical parts/fixture drawings, metalwork drawings, cable assembly drawings.
    • Establish and monitor milestones for projects.
    • Set up test fixtures for both short- and long-term testing.
    • Research and analyze technical data requirements.
    • Evaluate feasibility of design ideas including consideration of appearance, safety, function, costs, and market trends.
    • Plan, coordinate, and/or conduct and solve specific, difficult engineering issues requiring substantial analysis and evaluation of causes, effects, and alternatives.
    Job Requirements
    • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, will consider experience in lieu of degree.
    • Proficiency in SolidWorks, Draftsight, and Solidworks PDM
    • General understanding of Manufacturing.
    • Ability to use basic gages for measurement (micrometer, caliper, height gages...)
    • Excellent communications skills and careful attention to detail.
    • Self-motivated to work autonomously.
    • Multitasking in a fast-paced environment
    Plus
    • 1-2 years of experience; Product Designer with 5-10 years' experience
    • PTV industry experience
    • Mechanical/Electrical Engineering minor
    • Fabrication capabilities
    • Product testing and validation experience
    • FEA and stress/strain gauge testing
    • Electrical development
    • Understanding of vehicle certification processes
    One must have good written communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills. Ability to take direction and follow through is a must. Applicants must be able to work well alone and as part of a team. Must be able to obtain a passport for overseas travel.
