- Impact retention of existing client base by increasing the value of the Client/McGriff partnership.
- Lower the accident frequency and loss ratio of assigned clients as measured by contingency plan results with assigned insurance markets.
- Assist in the acquisition of new business by participating in responses to request for broker service proposals, new business sales calls and prospect meeting with both producer staff and insurance carrier loss control staff.
- Act as a first point of contact and resource for clients in regard to their risk management, property protection and employee safety related needs.
- Keep abreast of risk management and occupational safety and health consulting by pursuing continuing education opportunities.
- Develop, in a collaborative consulting approach, safety business plans with clients and insurance carrier loss control staff that impacts the client's ability to manage their safety and health processes.
- Provide client training seminars on a regional and local basis directed at reducing the client's overall cost of risk.
- Uses data and analytics to help clients identify loss drivers.
- Understands and communicates all of McGriff's internal risk management resources and promotes internally and externally.
- Regular participations in office sales meetings and frequent interaction / communication with production and marketing staff
- Bachelor's Degree
- Five years of experience in a risk management consulting position either in private industry or Insurance company capacity or equivalent education and related training
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to travel in assigned territory including overnight on a regular basis
- Problem solving ability and negotiating skills working with senior level client staff
- Above average interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a team based environment
- Goal and result orientated
- Ability to complete assigned tasks with minimum supervision
- Associate in Risk Management (ARM); Associate Safety Professional (ASP); Certified Safety Professional (CSP); Certified Fire Protection Specialist (CFPS) or other nationally recognized safety certification
- Experience in multi-line coverage and target industry business groups as defined by McGriff marketing department
- Experience using RMIS systems and databases

TIH:
All regular teammates (not temporary or contingent workers) working 20 hours or more per week are eligible for benefits, though eligibility for specific benefits may be determined by the division of TIH Insurance Holdings, LP (TIH) offering the position.
TIH offers medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, accidental death and dismemberment and tax-preferred savings accounts, along with other voluntary benefits.
All regularly scheduled teammates (not temporary or contingent workers), regardless of the number of scheduled hours, can contribute to a 401(k) savings plan and you become eligible for Company matching contributions after one year of service and attainment of age 21.
Teammates also receive no less than 10 days of vacation (prorated based on date of hire and by full-time or part-time status) during their first year of employment, along with 10 sick days (also prorated), and paid holidays.
