    At Ace Hardware of Rapid City, a Mead Lumber company, one of our six Core Values are "Unmatched Customer Service". As a Hardware Sales Associate, you will be on the front lines of making that happen. Through your interactions, you will inform and assist customers with the products and solutions they need for their home, yard, or business.

    Mead Lumber, founded in 1910, is 100% Employee Owned, and listed in the Lumber Building Materials Journal as the 18 largest Pro Contractor lumber/building materials retailer in the country. Mead operates 52 Lumber Yard, Retail, Truss Plant, and Component locations across nine Midwestern states.

    Job Responsibilities
    • Assist customers in finding and learning about the products and services.
    • Generate sales of hardware, lawn and garden, paint, and related products.
    • Merchandise products and build compelling displays.
    • Order products and maintain accurate inventories.
    • Stock, price, and organize products.
    • Straighten, clean, and maintain a pleasant, organized, and enjoyable sales environment.
    • General knowledge of retail products and categories.
    • Ability to listen to a customer's needs and formulate appropriate solutions.
    • Ability to operate a register, computer, and calculator.
    • A commitment to Customer Service and Customer Satisfaction.
    • Ability to work efficiently, promptly, and accurately.
    • Ability and willingness to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
