    Middle School Science Teacher

    Location: Kansas City, MO area

    Job Description:

    Are you passionate about inspiring young minds and shaping the future through science education? Join our dynamic team, located near beautiful Kansas City, MO, as a Middle School Science Teacher for the 2024/2025 school year.

    Position Overview:

    As a Middle School Science Teacher, you will be responsible for creating engaging and innovative lesson plans, delivering dynamic classroom instruction, and fostering a love of science in our students. You will work collaboratively with colleagues to develop curriculum, assess student progress, and provide meaningful feedback to support student learning and growth.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Plan and deliver comprehensive science lessons that align with state standards and curriculum objectives.
    • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel supported and encouraged to succeed.
    • Utilize a variety of instructional strategies, technology, and resources to engage students and enhance learning.
    • Assess student progress through formative and summative assessments, and provide timely feedback to students and families.
    • Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects and enriching learning experiences.
    • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with best practices in science education.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelors degree in Education or related field (Masters degree preferred).
    • Valid teaching license/certification in Middle School Science or related area.
    • Experience teaching middle school science preferred.
    • Strong knowledge of science content and pedagogy.
    • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
    • Commitment to ongoing professional growth and development.
