ACARA Solutions and our client in Cape Canaveral, FL have a Contract to Direct Hire position available.

Sr. Lathe Machinist Programmer

• Minimum of 5 years experience in axis) CNC programming and machining using Mastercam Software
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in Mazak & Haas machining centers.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in high-speed machining and tool path optimization

Responsibilities

• The 5 Axis Programmer and Machinist is responsible for interpreting Technical Drawings and setting up metal working processes work holding fixtures, process steps, equipment, and tooling selection, and running machinery by quality standards.
• Technical drawings and use knowledge to set up metal working processes, work holding fixtures, process steps, equipment, and tooling selection.
• Programs on 2&3 - 5 axis machines using Mastercam.
• Setup and prove out processes on 5 Axis CNC Mazak & Haas machines.
• This is all low volume/high mix machined parts.
• Fabricate dies, jigs, and fixtures for workpiece orientation or work holding.
• Monitor CNC processes and implement proactive solutions process improvements, line flow, quality, efficiency.
• Develop machine set-ups, program edits, and working with tolerances to +/- .0001'
• Measurement and inspection of parts using micrometers, calipers, optical comparators, and various other inspection equipment
