- Developing and implementing strategies for donor engagement and retention, personalized communication, and acknowledgement programs.
- Collaborating with the Executive Director and Diocesan Director of Development to set fundraising goals and develop comprehensive strategies to meet or exceed these targets.
- Maintaining and enhancing the agency's donor network through ongoing database management to ensure accurate and efficient tracking of donor contributions and communications.
- Identifying, cultivating, and nurturing relationships with existing and potential donors to secure and increase funding.
- Planning and executing a variety of fundraising initiatives that includes but is not limited to campaigns, grants, and special events.
- Analyzing fundraising date and trends to adjust strategies and tactics accordingly.
- Leading the planning, organization, and execution of fundraising events and other special projects to engage donors and raise funds.
- Overseeing logistical arrangements, budget management, marketing, and sponsorship for events.
- Collaborating with the Volunteer Coordinator to ensure successful event staffing and volunteer engagement.
- Supervising and mentoring the Volunteer Coordinator, providing guidance and support to enhance volunteer recruitment, training, and retention efforts.
- Reporting regularly to the Executive Director on progress toward fundraising goals, donor engagement activities, and event outcomes.
- Working with agency and program leadership to complete and participate in initial and continuous orientation, training, supervision, and assessments, including annual performance evaluations, contributing to a culture of ongoing quality enhancement, growth, and sustainability.
- Cultivating and sustaining positive working relationships with agency and Diocesan staff, as well as local and regional service partners, and regional and national agencies for the benefit of the agency's mission advancement.
- Full-time staff members are required to attend their designated work site from Monday to Friday, typically from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Core working hours may be subject to change based on the specific role and the requirements of the program.

Catholic Charities of Central & Northern Missouri is seeking a dynamic and experienced Donor Relations Manager to join our team and play a crucial role in advancing our mission. This mid-level position is responsible for fostering strong relationships with donors, meeting fundraising goals, and managing our donor database. Summary
The Donor Relations Manager plays an instrumental role in the agency's mission advancement team by fostering donor relationships and supporting engagement opportunities within Catholic Charities of Central and Northern Missouri. This mid-level development position is responsible for upholding the mission and integrity of Catholic Charities by meeting fundraising goals and managing the agency's donor database through outreach, formation, and stakeholder engagement, and for collaborating with agency leadership and program staff to nurture strong donor relationships and advocate for client needs/rights.
Possesses a strong commitment to the mission of Catholic Charities including the understanding of Catholic Social Teaching and ability to demonstrate the philosophy and values of the agency. The identity of the agency is clearly Catholic. As such, Catholic Charities adheres to the social and moral teachings of the Catholic Church.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Supervises staff, AmeriCorps members, interns, and volunteers as assigned.
Requirements
Education and/or Experience
A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in business administration, nonprofit management, communications, or related field with a minimum of 2-3 years' experience in fundraising, development, or similar role with a nonprofit organization is required. Requirements include excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, as well as strong leadership skills with experience supervising staff or volunteers and ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines. Demonstrated success in donor cultivation, relationship management, fundraising, and event planning is required. Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office software applications, donor database software, and CRM tools is required. Familiarity with Donor Perfect software is highly desired. Knowledge of Raisers Edge donor software is preferred.
Other Qualifications
Ability to successfully pass Family Care Safety Registry and criminal background checks and requires completion of the Protecting God's Children VIRTUS training session.
Licensed to operate a motor vehicle and ability to meet agency auto insurance coverage requirements. Local travel may be required.
Agency Identity and Mission
The work of Catholic Charities serves as an expression of the ministry of evangelization of the Roman Catholic Church by serving the poor and most vulnerable in our society. Although staff are not to proselytize, they are, however, expected to be guided in every way by the teachings of the Catholic faith in their daily work. These include church teachings on abortion, sterilization, abstinence, and the sanctity of the family as well as fidelity to the Catholic ethical religious directive of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops. In addition, all staff are invited to attend periodic Catholic Masses. As employees of Catholic Charities, it is further expected that staff will adhere to the Diocesan code of conduct. Employees are expected to not only perform duties consistent with the Doctrines of the Catholic faith, but outside of the workplace they are expected to refrain from publishing any communication in any form, electronic or otherwise, that affiliates them with Catholic Charities in a manner that is inconsistent with the doctrine of the Roman Catholic faith.
