- Provide technical leadership to the Manufacturing Engineering department.
- Serve as the technical focal point for Manufacturing Engineering on the manufacturing floor.
- Provide leadership and support to the process teams to ensure the success of structured work teams.
- Organize and operate within the matrix organization philosophy.
- Provide input on job selections, job evaluations, performance appraisals, and training issues within the Manufacturing Engineering Department.
- Promote the building of relationships and respect between process teams, cells, functional manufacturing, design engineering, and product delivery.
- Promote the sharing of new concepts, ideas, and tooling between process teams, cells, functional manufacturing, departments, divisions, and campuses throughout our company to achieve one common goal.

Description
Manufacturing Engineering Technical Leader - Small Parts Machining and Tool Design
As Manufacturing Engineering Technical Leader, you will provide the primary technical leadership of Manufacturing Engineering for the Aircraft Group's East Aurora Small parts machining and tool design operations.
In addition, you will be responsible for overall project tracking, metric adherence, skills gap identification and resolution along with coaching and mentoring members of the small parts machining and Tool design manufacturing engineering team.
You will be part of the manufacturing engineering leadership team that will help develop and execute future state vision to improve manufacturing processes while meeting or exceeding safety, quality, cost, and delivery goals.
As a technical expert, you will support the process teams helping to solve the most difficult problems associated with the manufacture of parts.
The solutions to these problems may require the process team solution alone or could result in contacting and working with other members of the Manufacturing Engineering department, Project or Design Engineers, Quality Assurance personnel, M & P Engineers, Inspectors, Product supervision, Purchasing, Product scheduling, or Vendors.
As a result, you must not only possess communication skills to work effectively with a variety of people but must also have the initiative to contact and coordinate with other groups as required.

Basic Qualifications:
BS Degree (ME or IE preferred) and 8 Years of Manufacturing Engineering Experience.
Manufacturing processing knowledge and experience.
CNC programming experience is preferred.
Equivalent education and experience may be considered.
