We are seeking a full-time physician at the Assistant or the Associate Professor level.This position is for inpatient and outpatient Pediatric Nephrology care, as well as teaching residents and students, and provides opportunities for research.
We offer a full range of services, including all forms of renal replacement therapy and plasmapheresis. The Nephrology service supports neonatal and pediatric critical care, oncology and urology programs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in clinical nephrology, dialysis and hypertension. This candidate would work in collaboration with general pediatrics and pediatric subspecialities. We work closely with Ochsner Health's transplant programs to provide ongoing care for transplant recipients.Level 3 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit – 40 bed unit
~23 pediatric beds in patient ward and an 8-bed pediatric intensive care unit

~21 Full-Time Subspecialists , including Allergy/Immunology, Cardiology, Child Abuse, Critical Care, Endocrinology, Hematology/Oncology, Infectious Disease, Neonatology, Nephrology, Neurology, Pulmonology & Rheumatology
~ Pediatric specialists in ENT, OMFS, Ophthalmology & Surgery
~3 PhDs and 2 non-MD Instructors
~ Over $2 million in research grants
~ Children's Clinical Research Center with a dedicated 3-bed clinical trial unit and laboratory, which supports 10-12 NIH and Pharma-sponsored clinical trials annually. Pediatric residency training program with 24 residents (8 per year)
~ Med/Peds residency training program with 20 residents (5 per year)
