    Derrick Corporation is looking for a full-time onsite Human Resources Specialist to join our corporate headquarters in Buffalo, NY (near Galleria Mall

    As the Human Resource Specialist, you will play a crucial role in providing administrative and organizational support to the Human Resources department and the employees at Derrick Corporation. The role involves administration of leave of absence, reconciling billing statements, and conducting new hire benefit meetings and benefit enrollments while ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and guidelines.

    Responsibilities:

    • Process and administer leave of absence requests and paperwork, including Disability, FMLA, PFL, and Workers Compensation
    • Reconcile billing statements.
    • Conduct new hire benefit orientation and ensure successful online enrollment via ADP.
    • Administer COBRA paperwork, enrollments, and payments.
    • Communicate daily with employees via email, telephone, and video conferencing.
    • Assist employees in resolving questions regarding statements or bills received.
    • Provide a friendly and welcoming atmosphere for employees during any benefit or human resources-related interactions.
    • Process and file ACA forms
    • Employee record maintenance
    • Maintain employee files by filing all updated and required documentation.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelors degree preferred; a minimum of an Associate Degree is required.
    • Two (2) years of experience supporting the Human Resources department with benefit & leave administration.
    • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
    • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word
    • Strong written communication skills to maintain a professional level of correspondence.
    • Experience with ADP Workforce Now preferred.
    • Friendly attitude to work cooperatively with all employees and departments.
    • Flexibility to move from one task to another as needed.

    Hourly Pay:

    $ $24.00
