    Mount Indie is hiring a Senior-level Jira Administrator who will leverage expertise in Atlassian products and Agile methodologies to drive efficiency and innovation. Establish, assess and optimize client usage of Jira, Confluence, and various plugins and provide hands-on support to users at all levels of the organization with the goal of empowering teams with the skills they need to excel. With a commitment to ongoing support and collaboration, you'll play a vital role in fostering a culture of continuous improvement and learning. This position is located onsite in Charleston, SC.

    Position Duties:

    • Support the implementation of Jira for new teams from initial requirements gathering to project decommissioning/archive, including capturing business requirements, documenting proposed configurations, project configuration, onboarding new users, importing data, etc.
    • Optimize and maintain established Jira projects, coordinating with hosting providers and vendors as needed to manage performance, troubleshoot issues, and streamlining configurations for scalability, and reliability and leverage knowledge of Agile, Kanban, and other frameworks to recommend and implement optimal configurations.
    • Customize Jira workflows, screens, fields, issue types, and schemes to meet business requirements.
    • Identify opportunities and implement automations to improve workflows to streamline repetitive tasks and improve efficiency.
    • Research, recommend, and configure plugins to enhance Jira/Confluence functionality and meet specific business requirements.
    • Understand client team structures and security best practices to recommend and implement appropriate permission schemes, groups, and roles.
    • Conduct user training sessions and create documentation as needed.
    • Regularly review and audit user accounts and permissions to ensure compliance with security policies and maintain license limits.
    • Provide technical support to end-users and other stakeholders, troubleshooting issues and providing guidance.
    • Communicate system changes to users as needed.
    • Ensure Jira configurations and practices comply with internal policies, industry regulations, and data protection laws.
    • Develop and maintain backup and recovery strategies for Jira, Confluence, and plug-in managed data.
    • Document backup and recovery processes and train relevant staff members.
    • Document system configurations, processes, and best practices.
    • Create and maintain knowledge base articles, FAQs, and user guides.
    • Conduct training sessions and workshops to share knowledge and best practices with other team members and stakeholders.
    • Stay informed about new features, updates, and best practices related to Jira and related technologies.
    • Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and system enhancements.
    • Solicit feedback from users and stakeholders to identify areas for improvement and prioritize enhancement requests.
    • Coordinate with vendors, stakeholders, and other teams to implement system improvements.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelors Degree
    • Certified Scrum Master
    • Jira Administration for Datacenter and Server certificate
    • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical details to non-technical stakeholders.
    • Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of proactively identifying and resolving complex technical issues.
    • Leadership and Project Management: Experience leading Jira implementations including planning, stakeholder management, and reporting progress.
    • Deep understanding of JQL a must and experience leveraging REGEX, HTML and/or other programming languages to refine Jira configurations a plus.
    • Current DoD Secret clearance or higher
    • Must be withindaily commuting distance to Charleston, SC worksite.
