    **About The Role**

    **Class 1 Trunking Driver**

    As a key worker working in our Healthcare Division, you play a key part in the success of phs.

    Being an experienced Class 1 Service Driver in our Healthcare division, your responsibilities will include service (collection & disposal) of health related waste products ranging from Pharmaceutical, Non-Hazardous Waste & Hazardous Clinical (Sharps, Orange Bags etc). The role is both internal and external facing, with daily interface with depots, customers & suppliers.

    **A day in the life of a Class 1 Service Driver at phs will involve;**

    You will follow planned routes, using PDA devices to confirm collections, manage any site access issues. We use in-cab technology but if you can operate a satellite navigation device and a smart phone, you will have no problem with these.

    You will be using double decker trailers and a tractor unit, designed specifically for the service we provide.

    Bin exchanges on site. Collecting full bins and leaving empty bins.

    Completing hazardous consignment notes & transfer notes on your PDA.

    Returning to your allocated depot every day.

    **The ideal candidate for a Class 1 Service Driver role at phs will:**

    Safety and legal compliance are a must. We welcome applications from people with a good safety record.

    Full, clean Driving licence (LGV Class1) and Digi Tach holder.

    Good driving skills and knowledge of current Road Transport Regulations

    Driver CPC training would be an advantage, however further training will be provided if neeed.

    ADR qualified, however further training will be provided if needed.

    **In for your commitment and expertise, you will get:**

    A salary of 31,000 subject to experience (Based on a 40-hour working week Monday to Friday)

    No scheduled weekend working.

    13 paydays per year (Every 4 weeks).

    Your annual leave will be 31 days (inclusive of Christmas Day) so you have 30 days to book throughout the holiday year. Due to the nature of our work, bank holidays are normal working days except for Christmas Day.
