- Oversee the daily operations of the maintenance department, ensuring all equipment and facilities are operating optimally and safely.
- Develop and implement maintenance strategies, procedures, and methods that align with the company's objectives and production targets.
- Lead and manage capital projects from conception through to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and meet the required quality standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for improving production efficiency and reducing downtime through equipment upgrades and process improvements.
- Manage the maintenance budget effectively, including procurement of parts, tools, and services while seeking opportunities to reduce costs without compromising quality or safety.
- Hire, train, and develop maintenance personnel, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations, conducting regular risk assessments and implementing preventative measures as necessary.
- Utilize maintenance management systems to track work orders, maintenance schedules, and inventory of spare parts.
- Proven experience in a maintenance management role within a manufacturing setting.
- Strong background in capital project management, including planning, budgeting, and execution.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide teams towards achieving operational objectives.
- Solid understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, as well as experience with automation and control systems.
- Practical knowledge of health and safety standards and compliance requirements in a manufacturing environment.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with team members at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to analyze problems, identify root causes, and implement practical and timely solutions.
