We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Plant Engineering Manager. This role is crucial for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our production equipment and facilities. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in managing maintenance teams, a proven track record in capital project management, and a deep understanding of manufacturing processes. While a four-year degree is not a requirement for this position, practical experience and a strong technical acumen are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily operations of the maintenance department, ensuring all equipment and facilities are operating optimally and safely.
• Develop and implement maintenance strategies, procedures, and methods that align with the company's objectives and production targets.
• Lead and manage capital projects from conception through to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and meet the required quality standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for improving production efficiency and reducing downtime through equipment upgrades and process improvements.
• Manage the maintenance budget effectively, including procurement of parts, tools, and services while seeking opportunities to reduce costs without compromising quality or safety.
• Hire, train, and develop maintenance personnel, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations, conducting regular risk assessments and implementing preventative measures as necessary.
• Utilize maintenance management systems to track work orders, maintenance schedules, and inventory of spare parts.

Job Requirements

• Proven experience in a maintenance management role within a manufacturing setting.
• Strong background in capital project management, including planning, budgeting, and execution.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide teams towards achieving operational objectives.
• Solid understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, as well as experience with automation and control systems.
• Practical knowledge of health and safety standards and compliance requirements in a manufacturing environment.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with team members at all levels of the organization.
• Ability to analyze problems, identify root causes, and implement practical and timely solutions.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
