    We are seeking a highly skilled Interventional Radiology Technologist to join our team for a challenging travel assignment in Richmond, Virginia.


    About the Role:


    • The ideal candidate will possess 1 year of recent acute care experience and have excellent knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.

    Key Responsibilities:


    The successful candidate will be responsible for operating fluoroscopic equipment and assisting physicians with minimally invasive image-guided procedures. This includes confirming patient identification, reviewing imaging requests, explaining procedures to patients, scrubbing diagnostic and interventional procedures, monitoring patients during procedures,
    demonstrating thorough knowledge of radiation protection standards and techniques to ensure adequate safeguards are maintained.
    Radiologic Exposure Standards:
    1. Demonstrate thorough knowledge of radiation exposure risks
      Avoid/minimize exposure when appropriate
      Take precautions during treatments or testing units that emit ionizing or non-ionizing radiation.
