    Our client, a manufacturing company in Yonkers, NY, is seeking a Reliability Engineer for their Quality Assurance team.

    BS in Engineering and a minimum of 10 years' experience providing engineering support to manufacturing in the transportation industry required Hours: 8:30am-5:30pm; Salary: up to $130K DOE


    Job Description:


    Perform reviews of new project "Request for Quote" for Reliability, Maintainability, System Safety and health requirements and develop proposal sections to respond to the stated requirements and develop proposal sections to respond to the stated requirements as well a implementation plans as necessary.

    Prepare necessary Contract Document submittals for Reliability, Maintainability, System Safety and Health including Reliability Plans, Reliability predictions, Reliability growth plans and reports, maintainability plans, maintainability demonstration plans and reports, safety and health Plans as required by assigned contracts.

    Participate as Project team member on assigned projects by supporting internal meetings and supporting Project Manager in matters dealing with Reliability, Maintainability, System Safety and Health.

    Support customer reviews (i.e. Design Reviews, Project Meetings and Warranty Meetings).

    Support implementation of Reliability, Maintainability, system Safety and Health requirements with vendors throughout design, prototyping, product assembly, demonstration testing and in-service performance.

    Coordinate in-service reporting with customers and vendors such that timely reviews of failures or negative trends are documented and corrected.

    Support customer Failure Review Boards as required. Coordinate vendor input to the meetings when necessary.

    Provide technical liaison between company's Project Engineering and Warranty Site personnel on matters dealing with Reliability, Maintainability, System Safety and Health.

    Support department manager or assigned project manager in special project as required.

    Qualifications:
    Bachelor of Science in Engineering, preferable mechanical or electrical
    Ten (10) to fifteen (15) years experience in support to manufacturing transportation products (i.e. rail, buses or aircraft) at the prime or vendor level.
    Minimum of five years experience in Reliability, Maintainability or System Safety and Health disciplines in the Transportation Industry
    Experience in multi-site coordination and direct customer interface
    Demonstrated capability in managing and working with various computerized databases to generate required reports.
    Capable of working in fast paced, dynamic manufacturing environment. Is able to climb stairs, ladders and lift approximately 50 lbs.
