    Responsibilities:

    • Work independently or with other skilled painters painting interior and exterior surfaces of residential and commercial properties.
    • Read blueprints and instructions
    • Mix paint and other materials to prepare for correct color or texture.
    • Apply varnish or other finishes
    • Instruct on site Painting Apprentice in job plans for the day. If no apprentice on site, make on site preparations:
      • Apply protective coverings, such as masking tape, to articles or areas that could be damaged or stained by work processes.
      • Prepare wall or other surfaces for painting. Fill cracks or breaks in surfaces of plaster articles or areas with putty or epoxy compounds
      • Need to be able to work extensively on ladders.
      • Set up scaffolding
      • Use sanding and buffing tools and equipment
    • Keep work area clean and free of hazards
    • Communicating with Job Supervisor
    • Maintaining high customer service standards positive testimonials
    • Attending weekly safety and training meeting.
    • Maintaining a positive attitude.

    Requirements & Skills:

    • Previous experience in residential or commercial painting required
    • Strong knowledge of residential and commercial painting techniques
    • Solid knowledge of painting materials and how to select, mix and apply them
    • Manual dexterity with excellent balance to work on scaffolding, ladders, etc.
    • Aptitude in using appropriate tools, brushes, caulking guns, etc.
    • Ability to prioritize and focus on your current task
    • Willingness to guide / instruct Painting Apprentices
    • Willingness to learn and advance within the Company
    • Conscientious with strong attention to detail
    • Strong organizational skills
    • Customer service skills
