Then we have the job for you APEX Placement and Consulting has partnered with an exciting company in Warren looking to add a Senior Drive Technician to their already amazing team.

    • Read schematic drawings or engineering instructions for assembling and disassembly on electronic units
    • Apply knowledge of setup testing as required for major drive manufactures.
    • Develop tests as necessary for various manufacturers and document results
    • Troubleshoot and repair for various drive manufacturers.
    • Provide phone support for customers
    • Component/Board level repair and troubleshooting.
    • Advance ability to solder through hole and surface mount components.
    • Proficient in the use of DDM, oscilloscope, function generator, variable power supplies, Huntron, amp probe and other lab test equipment.
    • Wire drives and motors together for testing purposes.
    • Load and modify parameters for drives.
    • Test electronic units, using standard test equipment, and analyze to evaluate performance and determine needed adjustment.
    • Apply electronic theory to troubleshoot malfunctions and provide remedy.

    What we are looking for:

    • Two-year technical degree OR 1 year of related work experience within industrial electronics repair
    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Experience in the repair of AC/DC servo drives, industrial amplifiers and spindle drives is preferred
    • Experience with the repair of components from Fanuc, Siemens, Allen Bradley, Indramat/RexRoth and Mitsubishi is preferred
