Responsible for applying engineering leadership and experience in cloud infrastructure and software to manage RingCentral's global Site Reliability Engineering organization in charge of maintaining public and private cloud software infrastructure across the globe.
To succeed in this role you must meet the following requirements:
Managing global Site Reliability Engineering Team consisting of over 100 engineers

• Creating and maintaining programs for hiring, training and growing Site Reliability Engineering function
• Driving initiatives for increasing high availability, scalability, performance and cost efficiency of RingCentral production and development infrastructure
• Providing strategic direction, managing and maintaining roadmaps, and overseeing organizational structure for SRE teams for each RingCentral product
• Collaborating and working cross-functionally with product development, customer support, marketing, sales and other organizations to ensure the high level of production support to maintain RingCentral's communications applications.

Desired Qualifications:

• U.S. Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field, or foreign equivalent, plus two (2) years of related experience, or U.S. Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field plus five (5) years of related experience, is required.
• Experience with managing distributed systems w/thousands of virtual machines; application containers with 99.999% SLA; virtualization technologies; containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker and Kubernetes); Amazon public cloud services (Amazon EC2 and Amazon EKS); monitoring and observability tools; CI/CD practices and tools; troubleshooting Linux-based OS; cost management; change management; incident management; post-mortems; managing global personnel; project management; resource management; hiring personnel; and making presentations is required.
