As IT Support Specialist, you are part of a team that is accountable for providing first line response for users requiring remote and local assistance with information technology issues and problems. As a team player with an excellent phone manner you will quickly resolve issues or engage the best resource on our team to assist in multiple geographic locations.

    You will be responsible for documenting and recording processes, support issues and "how to" tutorial documentation while maintaining, updating and contributing to the Energera training site and SharePoint knowledgebase.

    Specific Duties and Responsibilities

    • Provide frontline onsite (deskside) and remote (desktop) technical support via in person, Skype, Telephone, Email, SMS or Ticket System.
    • Assist internal customers with hardware and software issues surrounding desktops, laptops and iOS phones, Office 365 applications and Bluebeam
    • Monitoring and troubleshooting systems remotely through the use of Labtech ConnectWise Automate
    • Connecting/Upgrading PC components, i.e.: hard drives, memory, adapters, interfaces, screens
    • Installing, troubleshooting and updating software applications
    • Provision new desktop and laptop systems according to processes
    • Reclaim and re-provision desktop and laptop hardware
    • Diagnose and resolve PC desktop problems and provide hardware and software technical support, problem prioritization, problem resolution and follow-up.
    • New user onboarding setup and management, email distribution list management
    • Set up and/or relocate equipment in offices, cubicles, other workspaces and storage as required
    • Participate and collaborate in various IT projects and provide new perspectives, insight and ideas
    • Effectively prioritize work tasks with little oversight
    • Ability to work on multiple tasks concurrently in a high paced environment
    • Other duties as assigned from time to time

    Experience Required

    • Experience with Win 7, 8, 10, Server 2008, 2012, Microsoft Office, Office 365, SharePoint
    • Experience with PC and Server hardware components
    • Experience with Active Directory use and management an asset
    • Good working knowledge in the support of network connectivity of end-users (Internet, LAN, VPN, DNS, DHCP)
    • Excellent ability to interface with IT personnel to discuss technical matters pertaining to issues, problems, or technical specifications
    • Ability to learn and assimilate new, cutting edge technologies and processes quickly
    • CompTIA A &
    • Experience with CompTIA Network+ preferred
