Job summary
The Quality Technician position provides a quality product to the customer by collecting samples and performing tests on raw materials, materials in process, finished products and competitive products located in Theodore AL This is a rotating shift 530a-530p and 530p-530a every other weekend Collects samples and performs accurate quality control testing to ensure product quality Provides verbal and/or written test results to management and production staff in a timely manner Assists manager with customer service issues as directed Certifies results of laboratory findings Examines laboratory andor core samples to determine their physical and chemical properties Uses a variety of instrumentsand calculations to determine conformity Performs various tests to make certain that samples meet required standards Records analyzes certifiesand prepares summaries of findings Maintains records of test results using various databases Assists with customer service issues as required Troubleshootsto determine reason for problem or complaint Collects samples from various areasof the plant as required Provides leadershipand/or guidance tol ess experienced Tech QCand/or Inspectors on more complex assignments Coordinates workto ensure that repairs are completedin a timely mannerand according inorderof priority May train new employees Communicates problems in operations unwarranted deviations from established standards,and violationsof policyor law Demonstrate ac commitmentto communicating improvingand adheringto health,safetyandre environmental policiesin allwork environmentsandareas Promoteacultureofsafetandexhibitthesesbehaviors What We re Looking For Required Education High School DiplomaGED Additional Education Preferred AssociatesTechnical Degree Field of Study Preferred Chemistryor other science related field Required Work Experience 01 year Travel Requirements Less than10% Additional Requirements Excellent math skills Detailed oriented Able toprioritize work Required ComputerSoftware Skills Data EntryMicrosoft WordMicrosoft Excel Successful candidates must adhere tot all safety protocols proper useAmrize approved Personal Protection Equipment PPE including butnotlimitedtorespirators Employees that are required towearrespiratorsmustbeclean shaven wherethe respiratorsealmeetsthefacesinordertopassthe qualitative quantitative fittests What We Offer Competitive salary Retirement Savings Choosefrom401k pre-taxandroth after-taxesavings Employee Stock Purchase Plan MedicalDentalDisabilityLife Insurance coverage Holistic Health & Well-being programs Health Savings Accounts HSAs Flexible Spending Accounts FSAsforhealthdependent care Visionother Voluntary benefits discounts Paid time off paid holidays Paid Parental Leave maternity paternity Educational Assistance Program Dressforyourday
