Title: Bioinformatics Training Program Manager-

Duration: 12 months contract with possible extension

Location: Bethesda MD

Work Details:

• New function area Develop and lead a cohesive, sustainable bioinformatics training program for intramural researchers at NICHD, working closely with the Office of Education (OE) and the Bioinformatics and Scientific Programming Core (BSPC).
• Prepares and provides educational materials to staff.
• Coordinates Bioinformatic training workshops and reports their outcomes.
• Develops and assists staff implement policies and procedures related to the organization's Bioinformatic training programs.
• Collects, analyzes and creates training program information.
• Develops and assists staff implement policies and procedures related to the organization's scientific programs.
• Develops, and assists staff, policies and procedures related to the organizations.

​Certifications & Licenses:

• PhD in Bioinformatics

Field of Study:

• Miscellaneous Biology

Software:

• Practical experience in a wide range of bioinformatics software Extensive experience with R, Python, Bash

Skills:

• Very strong communication skills, both oral and written
• Experience with teaching working scientists (instructor training from The Carpentries is a plus)
