- The ideal candidate will have an exemplary record of patient care and expertise in Trauma, Acute Care, and Surgical Critical Care.
- Qualified candidates should have demonstrated experience in a trauma center and/or system leadership and excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Documentation of scholarly activities in the field of Trauma / Acute Care Surgery is preferred.
- The Trauma Medical Director will provide clinical leadership in Trauma and Acute Care Surgery and work closely with the Director of Surgical Critical Care.
- The Trauma Director will direct the multidisciplinary functions of the trauma program and serve as the medical liaison between trauma team members and hospital administration.
- Responsibility for maintaining the Level I status of the Trauma Center.
- Develop institutional policies, procedures, and protocols to improve the quality and cost-effectiveness of trauma care.
- Candidates are expected to be active participants in the Department?s residency training and educational programs.
