    Description
    Clemson University invites applications for a full-time 9-month visiting assistant professor position to start August 15, 2024.

    Responsibilities include teaching courses in music technology, music production across styles, and sound recording with emphasis on classical ensembles and live concerts. Teaching in a secondary area, such as acoustics or music business, dependent upon candidate qualifications and department need.

    The successful candidate will participate fully in departmental activities including recruiting, advising, auditions, attending recitals, concerts, and recruiting events, and working collaboratively with faculty members from the music and theatre areas in the Performing Arts major.

    Qualifications
    A terminal degree in Sound Recording, Music Technology, Acoustics, or a related field. Applicants must have knowledge and experience recording classical ensembles and live concerts, strong leadership skills, and a demonstrated ability and desire to instruct undergraduate students.

    Additional qualifications are valued: teaching experience at the college level or equivalent professional experience; demonstrated commitment to student recruitment.
