Assures quality of service and safety of patients, employees, and visitors through the implementation of policies and procedures that guide the activities of the radiology staff.
Complies with HIPAA and all applicable state and federal regulations governing healthcare providers.
Provides technical assistance in establishing and meeting budgetary requirements in the purchase of supplies and appropriate radiologic equipment to meet organizational needs.
Participates in organizational, managerial, and educational functions.Demonstrates the ability to perform patient care functions relevant to the physical, emotional, and safety needs and behaviors of all age groups.
Assists in performing safe, efficient, and timely operation of diagnostic exams.Monitors and evaluates employee performance and clinical outcomes. Provides educational opportunities for staff improvement.
Participates in opportunities that enhance personal and professional growth.
Complies with the Corporate Compliance Policy and all laws, regulations, and Standards of Conduct relating to the position and agrees to report any suspected violations of law or Standards of Conduct.
Maintains a safe work environment using safe work practices, utilizing standard precautions and complying with hazardous waste procedures at all times as described in St.
Anthony's Safety Manual.
Supervises employees in Radiology, CT, MRI, ultrasound, mammography, and nuclear medicine and is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units.
Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Required Work Experience:
Five years' experience as a Staff Technologist with previous supervisory experience preferred.
Required Educational Experience & Certifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent with an emphasis in the sciences and/or business.
Graduate of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology.
Current ARRT Certification.
Iowa Permit to Practice.
BCLS certification.
