    Summary of Job Purpose:
    Applies philosophy of Advanced Health Care in all job duties.

    Provides direct care for patients and maintains a safe, clean environment, treating all patients and staff with respect and dignity.


    Duty to Patients:

    • Perform or assist with ADL's using ADL charting form as a guide.
    * a. Assist with bathing and personal hygiene.
    * b. Assist with dressing and undressing.
    * c. Assist with oral hygiene.
    * d. Provide nail care.
    * e. Shave or assist with shaving.
    * f. Provide incontinent care.
    * g. Transfer patients to/from bed, chair or commode using gait belt.
    * h. Assist with toileting.
    * i. Assist with meals and/or feeding.
    * j. Monitor intake or output as directed.
    * k. Take vital signs.
    * l. Provide range of motion (ROM) as directed.
    * m. Assist with ambulation.
    * n. Make beds.
    * o. Maintain unit cleanliness and order, including patient rooms and utility rooms
    * p. Document accurately on ADL sheets and on assignment sheets when indicated.

    • Be aware of patient's needs at all times.
    • Answer call lights promptly.
    • Provide restorative care as directed.
    • Respond to patient's physical and emotional needs.
    • Maintain privacy and confidentiality.
    • Assist with admission and orientation of patients to unit and facility.
    • Respect religious beliefs and provide spiritual and emotional support.
    *Duty to Facility:

    • Incorporate Advanced Health Care's philosophy into every task and function.
    • Follow all safety procedures to maintain an accident-free environment for patients and staff. Practice proper lifting techniques.
    • Participate in fire drills according to procedure.
    • Participate in facility functions and committee memberships when available.
    *Duty to Co-Workers:


    • Report to work promptly and complete time sheets accurately. No overtime without prior approval of the Director of Nursing or Administrator.
    • Is flexible and works as assigned without complaint. Will float to other units as needed.
    • Follow policies and procedures.
    • Report pertinent problems to the charge nurse or supervisor in a timely manner.
    • Offers positive reinforcement to co-workers.
    • Accepts and applies constructive criticism.
    • Welcomes new employees.
    • Functions as a team member, assisting others as needed.
    • Accepts additional duties as required by charge nurse or supervisor.
    *Duty to Other Departments:

    • Maintains open communication with other department staff members and responds to requests promptly.
    • Perform related duties as required.
    *Duty to Self:

    • Meets personal goals for job performance and job satisfaction.
    • Maintains professional appearance and conduct.
    • Attends required number of in-services to maintain State determinations.
    • Attends unit and other staff meetings.

    Job Types:
    Part-time, PRN


    Pay:
    $ $22.00 per hour

    Expected hours: 8 – 40 per week
