    Description
    Under the Supervision of the Unit Head, the Camp Counselor is responsible for the daily supervision and safety of the children. The Camp Counselor will also assist the unit head in planning goals and activities for all of the children.
    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Supervise children between Kindergarten and 8th grade to ensure their safety and general well-being, including knowing their whereabouts at all times.
    • Flexibility to work different areas of the program.
    • Assist in maintaining accurate records including attendance and incident logs.
    • Support the Unit Head in program duties
    • Working collectively and communicating with all peer staff.
    • Attend all trainings and staff meetings.
    • Follow through on activity schedules and lesson plans
    • Participate in farm activities - egg harvesting, painting, agriculture, etc.
    • Ready to swim once a week

    EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND REQUIRED COMPETENCIES:
    • Experience in childcare in a school setting is preferable.
    • Excellent social skills. Must be friendly, engaging and patient.
    • Ability to work efficiently and effectively under pressure.
    • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize daily workload.
    • Demonstrate cultural competence.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills as well as verbal and written communication skills.

    Work schedule: 6/26-8/16 Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 4:00 pm.
    Must be available everyday that camp is in session from 8:00 am – 4:00 pm and for staff trainings/meetings pre-camp.
