    Position Title Head Coach/Women's Soccer Division Vice President Enrollment Management(DIV) Department Athletics & Recreation Job Description


    The Head Coach/Women's Soccer is responsible for the overall operation of the College's intercollegiate women's soccer team for the fall season.


    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    • Assists the Director/Athletics & Recreation with finalizing the soccer schedule.
    • Assists Director/Athletics & Recreation with monitoring academic progress of student-athletics.
    • Holds tryouts for team formation after August 1.
    • Distributes and collects all soccer equipment and uniforms.
    • Conducts a sufficient number of practice sessions each week, with each session lasting approximately one and one-half hours.
    • Ensures safety procedures are followed while coaching.
    • Distributes all monies used by the team at "away" games; and keeps records of monies spent.
    • Serves as liaison between the Director/Athletics & Recreation and opposing teams.
    • Supervises the assistant coach, the statisticians, and the team managers.
    • Ensures appropriate conduct is observed by all team members and personnel at both "home" and "away" games and at all practice sessions.
    • Assists with organization and administration of the WPCC, PCAA, and Regional soccer tournaments, when those tournaments are hosted by the college.
    • Reports all game scores to the local newspaper immediately following each game.
    • Recruits team members from the college's general student population.
    • Recruits team members from area high schools, in accordance with the college's recruitment policy.

    Required Qualifications

    QUALIFICATIONS - EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE AND/OR TRAINING


    • Post-secondary degree in a related field desired; recreation/physical education major preferred.
    • First-aid/CPR certifications required.
    Preferred Qualifications


    • Previous soccer coaching and/or teaching experience desired.

    Salary $4,477 Schedule Days/Hours Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday
